So Craig Ca$h says of Ronnie Barker's death: "I can only think that God must have needed cheering up." Which is funny, because I can "only think" that if you have a long history of heart trouble and are aged 76 then that's already two reasons that you are likely to die. And I can also "only think" that if you are God, omnipotent creator of the universe, and you fancy a bit of Ronnie Barker comedy then you have access to a large video/DVD collection, or at least re-runs of 'Porridge' on BBC2, and can watch Ronnie Barker whenever you want and don't need to strike Ronnie Barker down just for giggles. If God was really concerned about Ronnie Barker's gags, why didn't he get him out of retirement doing some new stuff? And anyway, God's sense of humour has taken a rather dark turn.
