Advent calendars are already on sale. M&S offers seven different kinds of biscuit built around the theme of a Viennese Swirl (Viennese jaffa cakes; Viennese teacakes etc..) And, in M&S you can buy "fresh croutons", as in: "Yah, Tony and I decided that once we'd tried these fresh croutons, we couldn't possibly go back to those awful stale ones." I mean, it's a crouton. A bit of crunchy bread. What difference does it make if it's fresh? NOTE: When I say "biscuit", then anyone reading this who speaks American English should think of the word "cookie". .......... That flat I mentioned in my previous entry? Well, the landlady was nutty because she used to trick us into coming over to pay the rent in person because she was really lonely; and she only like Japanese people, really, and she didn't like Jews. AND she once answered the door with plastic shopping bags over her hands because she put wax on her hands to treat her arthritis. The other girl living there was kind of normal.
