girlsdontcry's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Submarine got stuck to the bottom Even though I've been sort of acting like a forties housewife with regard to my frugal approach to making the most of leftover food these last couple of weeks, I was kind of horrified in the pub at lunch yesterday to see a oldish couple produce a roll of freezer bags and pile up their leftover roast beef (on a paper napkin, yuck) to take home with them. I know, I know, if it was a doggy bag in a New York restaurant I'd think it was all fun and quaint, but it's just a bit grim when it's DIY doggy bag in a pub in London. This week/year/rest of my life are looking on the lite side regarding Things To Look Forward To. Fancy schmancy (but nourishing) dinner tomorrow night here is definitely one.
