girlsdontcry's Diaryland Diary

unlikely premise

I thought the worst thing was walking past Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children in the daytime, seeing the patients... the four-year-old boy getting in to a car and realising that the woman standing next to him was a nurse holding his drip up; and seeing a fat, balding teenage cancer girl in a wheelchair. But then on the way home, when all the children are in bed it was WORSE, walking past a weeping woman, outside the hospital.

I went to see The Beat That My Heart Skipped, which was mostly enjoyable, if somewhat confusing at first. And with the unlikely premise that a 28-year-old man who hasn't been studying the piano since he was 18 would have an agent really wanting him to audition. Apart from that, it was mostly enjoyable. Oh, except the women talking behind me. But definitely, apart from those things, it was mostly enjoyable.

I took things back to a shop and their policy is that when you go for a refund, they only refund you 80% of the money and keep the rest as a "handling" fee! Isn't that outrageous? In the event, I exchanged and ended up spending MORE, but wow, I'm sure that policy CAN'T be legal, can it?
