But really, if your boyfriend had disappeared in a mysterious boating accident, would you say in a television interview when asked about grieving: "Things like this come in waves"? I think: no. The week ahead I will be trying to build up my liver so that I can tear it town again. I don't mean to be tearing it down but inevitably... I mean, realistically. My brother will be here and although I'm really looking forward to seeing him, I guess we normally don't have that much to say to each other without the benefit of several glasses of whatever. Meanwhile, my body is saying in the politest way (if you consider eczema ALL OVER MY BODY EXCEPT MY FACE to be polite) that taking milk thistle and vitamin E and drinking aloe vera juice is really no substitute for actually stopping drinking for a bit.
